AKA Literary Management is a full service agency that represents nonfiction and fiction, both literary and commercial for the mainstream trade market. Our goal is to develop successful careers for our clients, and we embrace the realization that each client and each work offers the opportunity to examine and redefine that goal, sometimes daily. Our main office is located at the foot of the majestic Rocky Mountains of Colorado, with our satellite office in lovely, Long Island, New York. We firmly believe that quality representation is not limited by physical boundaries but enhanced by our positive demeanor. We are proud of the contacts we’ve established within the many facets of publishing and across the globe, a shared collective experience of over a quarter century, and our belief and placement in an ever-changing and dynamic industry that continues to thrill us.
AKA clients include debut authors and Best Sellers from around the world. We are interested in Children’s: Picture Book, Middle Grade and, Young Adult. We also represent Commercial Mainstream, Mainstream Romance, and Upmarket Women’s for Fiction and the occasional Western, Mystery and Thriller. Plus, we actively seek Literary works that might lean a bit to the commercial side. AKA Literary works with all major and independent publishers, traditional print, E-book formats, Television and Film. When appropriate, our properties are placed with foreign rights agents providing international exposure to our clients.
